Tom's Dumpster Rental
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 July, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how dumpsterrental.com collects, uses, and shares information when you visit dumpsterrental.com, request a quote, book a dumpster, or contact us by phone or text. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request a quote, place an order, or contact us, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, billing address, delivery/service address, dumpster size and service details, and any notes you provide. Payment card details are entered directly into our payment processor and are not stored on our servers.
Information collected automatically. When you use our website, we automatically collect device and usage data such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and interactions with the site, through cookies and similar technologies.
Information from other sources. We may receive information from advertising and analytics partners (for example, when you click one of our ads) and from our booking and communication tools.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to provide quotes and schedule deliveries and pickups; process payments; communicate with you about your order, including delivery windows and pickup reminders; respond to questions and provide customer support; operate, improve, and secure our website; measure and improve our advertising; and comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
3. Text messages (SMS)
If you provide your mobile number, we may text you about your order, including confirmation of your delivery day and a heads-up roughly 30 minutes before the driver arrives. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or reply HELP for help. Opting out of service texts may affect our ability to coordinate your delivery or pickup. We do not sell or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in for third-party marketing.
4. Phone calls and call recording
We may record or monitor calls with our office for quality, training, order accuracy, and dispute resolution. Because we operate in California, which requires all-party consent to record, you will be notified at the start of a call if it is being recorded; by continuing the call you consent to the recording. If you do not wish to be recorded, please let us know and we will assist you another way.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to run the site, remember your preferences, understand traffic, and deliver and measure advertising. This includes analytics and advertising services such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel, which may be used for remarketing โ showing you our ads on other sites and platforms after you visit ours. You can control cookies through your browser settings and can opt out of certain ad personalization through the tools noted in Section 9.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as needed to run our business:
Service providers. We use trusted vendors to operate our services, including our field-service and booking platform (Jobber), payment processing (for example, Stripe), email delivery (for example, Brevo), phone and text services, hosting, and analytics and advertising platforms (Google and Meta). These providers may process your information only to perform services for us.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, our company, or others.
Business transfers. If our business is sold or reorganized, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Some ad and analytics tools may treat data used for cross-context behavioral advertising as a "sale" or "sharing" under California law. See Section 8 for your choices.
7. Payments
We book and manage orders through Jobber, and payments made through our booking pages are processed by Jobber's payment system. Your full card number is handled under their security standards; we do not store your full card number on our servers. You can review how Jobber handles data in Jobber's privacy policy at getjobber.com.
8. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to: know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it; access a copy of your personal information; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your information; and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. We will verify your request, which may require confirming information we already hold about you. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law.
9. Your advertising choices
You can opt out of personalized advertising through your Google Ads settings, your Meta ad preferences, and industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org). You can also limit or block cookies in your browser settings.
10. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it.
11. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children's privacy
Our services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Third-party links
Our website and booking pages may link to third-party sites, such as our booking platform. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their privacy notices.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of our website or services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
