Tom's Dumpster Rental
Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 July, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of dumpsterrental.com and the dumpster rental and junk removal services offered through it. Our services are operated by two registered companies: Dumpster Rental Inc. and Hauling Solutions Inc. (together, "we," "us," or "our"). By requesting a quote, placing an order, or using our website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Which company provides your service
Depending on the service you order, your agreement is with one of our two companies:
Dumpster Rental Inc. provides 3 cubic yard dumpster rentals.
Hauling Solutions Inc. provides 10, 20, and 40 cubic yard dumpster rentals and junk removal services.
The size-specific terms below apply to whichever company provides your service. Both companies operate under the dumpsterrental.com website and share these Terms.
2. Quotes, orders, and pricing
Prices shown on our website include delivery, removal, dumping, and tax for the selected size and service area. Prices depend on your location and dumpster size and may change. Your order is confirmed when you complete booking and payment through our booking pages. We may decline or cancel any order, including where an address is outside our service area or the requested placement is unsafe or inaccessible.
3. Delivery and access
You are responsible for selecting a safe, legal, and accessible drop-off location and for directing where the container is placed. Please provide clear, unobstructed access with about 50 feet of straight clearance. You agree to hold us harmless for any damage to driveways, pavement, curbs, lawns, or other surfaces resulting from placement, delivery, or pickup of the container, whether loaded or unloaded, and from the truck crossing the property. We are not responsible for such damage when providing service as directed.
4. Permits
Obtaining any required permit is your responsibility. Permits are often required for containers placed on public streets and, in some cases, private property. Please check with your local municipality before placement.
5. Notifications and dry-run fee
We confirm your delivery day in advance and typically send a text about 30 minutes before the driver arrives. If we arrive to deliver or collect and cannot complete the job because of an issue on your end โ for example, a blocked driveway, no clear access, the drop-off is refused, or the container is inaccessible or filled above the rim โ a dry-run fee applies. The dry-run fee is $75 for the 3 cubic yard dumpster and $150 for the 10, 20, and 40 cubic yard dumpsters. Keep the space clear and accessible to avoid this charge.
6. Pickup is not automatic
Pickup is not automatic. At the end of your rental period you must contact the office to schedule removal, unless you selected a pickup date when ordering online. Once a removal is scheduled, the rental period stops from that date, including Sundays and holidays, and the container is removed within 72 hours. If we do not hear from you, the container stays and daily rates apply.
7. Rental period and extra days
3 cubic yard (Dumpster Rental Inc.): the rental period is 14 days. After the 14th day, a charge of $5.00 per calendar day applies (some city fees may apply) unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10, 20, and 40 cubic yard (Hauling Solutions Inc.): the rental period is 7 days unless otherwise agreed. After the 7th day, a charge of up to $25.00 per calendar day applies (some city fees may apply) unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. What you can and cannot put in the dumpster
3 cubic yard (Dumpster Rental Inc.): for household trash, junk, and general waste, up to 1,000 lbs. Over-limit weight fees apply. No dirt, concrete, asphalt, brick, cement, tile, stucco, plaster, roofing shingles, or other heavy or inert debris, and no paints, chemicals, or hazardous materials.
10 cubic yard (Hauling Solutions Inc.): designed for inert debris such as dirt, concrete, brick, asphalt, cinder block, and tile, with no weight limit when filled with clean inert debris to level full. Nothing may exceed 24" x 24". If trash or other miscellaneous rubbish is mixed in, the load is treated as miscellaneous rubbish with a 2-ton limit. No chemicals, wet cement, concrete washout, or hazardous materials.
20 and 40 cubic yard (Hauling Solutions Inc.): for trash, junk, and miscellaneous rubbish, not heavy or inert debris. Only the tonnage included in your price is covered; additional weight is charged per ton, plus applicable city fees. No dirt, concrete, or other heavy materials, and no paints, chemicals, or hazardous materials.
All containers must be no more than level full, with all material inside the container and not exceeding the top. We may refuse to service any container that exceeds fill or weight limits. You are liable for any overweight fines caused by overloading, including fines incurred by the driver en route or on arrival.
9. Junk removal (Hauling Solutions Inc.)
For junk removal, our crew loads and hauls away the items you identify. Pricing is based on volume, material type, and labor, and is confirmed before we haul. The prohibited-materials rules above apply โ we cannot take hazardous materials, and certain heavy or specialty items may carry additional fees or be declined.
10. Your responsibility for the equipment
You are responsible for the container while it is in your care. You agree to pay reasonable repair costs for loss or damage beyond normal wear and tear caused by you, your agents, or third parties, which may include severe graffiti. Do not move, overload, or alter the container, and use it only for its intended purpose.
11. Prohibited and hazardous materials
You may not place radioactive, reactive, toxic, ignitable, corrosive, pathological, acidic, or otherwise hazardous materials in any container or in any junk removal load. If prohibited materials are placed in a container, you are liable for the materials and labor needed to clean it and for any resulting fees or penalties, payable immediately once notified.
12. Cancellation
You may cancel an order at any time except after the container is en route to the delivery site. If cancelled while en route, a $75.00 per hour fee (calculated port to port) applies. If we are unable to perform service for the reasons described in these Terms, or a driver is required to wait more than 20 minutes, an hourly charge applies as described in your service confirmation. Any guideline violation carries a minimum $75.00 fee, payable immediately.
13. Payment, returned checks, and interest
Payment is due as stated at booking and is processed through Jobber, the platform we use to book and manage orders. A fee applies to any returned or dishonored payment, and you may be liable for damages as allowed under California Civil Code 1719. Unpaid balances accrue interest at 1.5% per month (18% annually). If collection or legal action is needed, you agree to pay reasonable court costs, collection fees, and attorney fees as allowed by law.
14. Service delays
In special circumstances such as natural disasters or equipment failure, we may delay service and are not liable for resulting damages or penalties. Our office is normally closed on Sundays and holidays; online scheduling on those days takes effect after the next business day.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any claims, damages, penalties, fines, or liabilities for injury, death, or loss or damage to property or the environment arising from the rental, use, placement, or removal of a container or from junk removal services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of our website or services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
